Thanks to the boom in reality TV we have witnessed the outrageous, extravagant and dramatic lives of housewives from Malibu to Massachusetts. In the new comedy, THE CLOUDS, A REALITY PLAY, aging reality star Stephanie Stophanes is deep in debt, in the midst of a messy divorce, and facing cancellation. Stephanie seeks the help of the screwball Socrates and his School for Life Skills in hopes of once again being relevant. With backstabbing agents, rude crew members, and TV show parodies, THE CLOUDS, A REALITY PLAY shines a hilarious light on the underbelly of reality TV shows, and the “stars” that make them.
THE CLOUDS, A REALITY PLAY features the work of: Audrey Bartron, Geb Brown, Wilson Carpenter, Alysha Curry, Mandy Eldridge, Danny Fisher-Bruns, Ali Gassert, Jalyn Green, Alexis Holzer, Rebecca Mccarthy, Robin McCartney, Ellie McKay, Amelia Meckler, Matt Middleton, Liz Morrelle, Ben Newton, Beth Raas-Bergquist, Rob Raas-Bergquist, Devin Rodgers, Michael Stock, Kristina Sutherland, Nicole Vernon, Ray Williams, Dan Yost and Kelsey Yuhara.
Ghost Light Theatricals’ “Ch-Ch-Changes” season finishes up in April with a new adaptation of THE CLOUDS, A REALITY PLAY inspired by The Clouds by Aristophanes, Adapted by Alexis Holzer.
(The part after the break was borrowed from GLT’s Website, they say it all as well as I could!)
